Studies at the University of Michigan’s Center for Ergonomics show that one of the most
common causes of physical fatigue is standing for
long periods of time on hard floor surfaces. The
stress applied to the neck, legs and arches has a
direct effect on worker health and productivity.

may see less sick days from aches and pains, and increased
productivity and employee job satisfaction.

According to a recent study
published in the Journal of the American Medical
Association*, employers lose more than $60 billion each
year due to missed time at work - time lost because
workers are in pain. Workers in pain, the study
claims, are prone to lose concentration, repeat a job,
work more slowly than usual, feel fatigued, at work, or
even do nothing while at work.
* "Loss of Productive Time Due
to Pain,"
Stewart, et al, JAMA, 20024: 290:2443-2454
*Test conducted by Los Alamos
and Sandia National
Laboratories
concluded that Z-Coil®
footwear reduces the
rate of impact to the body by 50
percent or more, compared with a popular name-brand
cushioned running shoe. Energy return is estimated at
40-50 percent. |
